Nicole Upton knows what it means to weather life’s storms—and to rise stronger each time.
With over 30 years of experience in mining, construction, and rail industries, where women are still the exception. Nicole has carved out a career defined by grit, grace, and unwavering determination. She’s led teams through shutdowns, managed multimillion-dollar projects, and driven business improvement across Australia, all while raising two daughters and navigating the complexities of a fly-in-fly-out family life. Her husband’s work often takes him away 50–60% of the time, leaving Nicole to juggle motherhood, career, and countless interstate moves with quiet strength and fierce love.
But Nicole’s story isn’t just one of professional success—it’s one of deep empathy and a desire to give back. She understands the emotional toll of change, the pressure of expectations, and the quiet battles many face behind closed doors. That’s why she founded Elorah Counselling & Consulting: to offer others the kind of support she often had to find within herself.
Nicole holds a Diploma in Counselling and is currently studying her MBA, with a focus on Change Management. She brings not only academic insight but lived experience to her practice, meeting clients with compassion, clarity, and a deep understanding of life’s complexities. Whether supporting someone through personal transitions, workplace challenges, or emotional healing, Nicole’s approach is grounded, practical, and deeply human.
Outside of her professional life, Nicole is an active member of the SES and volunteers at her daughters’ school whenever possible. Her heart is firmly rooted in community, and she believes that healing and growth are most powerful when shared.
At Elorah, Nicole offers more than counselling—she offers a safe space, a listening ear, and the wisdom of someone who’s walked the path and come out the other side with purpose.
